Our research group develops and applies experimental techniques that use neutral helium atoms to probe surfaces and 2D materials. Unlike other particle probes that can cause damage, helium atoms interact gently with matter. This quantum interaction process allows us to visualise the structure and dynamics of materials with unprecedented sensitivity and precision.
